Liked: Nice hotel with spacious rooms and close location to the Peak District
Disliked: Food was ok but nothing special - would have expected a better quality for a golf club Spa facilities are good though now relaxation room in the wet area and just a small room in the spa area next to the treatment rooms

More of a hotel for...

Liked: The pool was lovely. Room was clean and staff were lovely. Asked for extra toilet roll and it was delivered super quickly. No access issues with my assistance dog.
Disliked: Was unable to use spa nail treatment as was told they were closed. Went down to spar they didn’t close until 4. Lifts were small and at an awkward position making them hard to access with my assistance dog.Breakfast was cold but did have a good selection of items. They do not have a restaurant, they have two bars which are very busy with golf customers. Not the best place to sit down and eat.

Really nice rooms, very average...

Liked: The room was a really nice: clean, comfortable and brand new.
Disliked: Breakfast was very average (greasy buffet) and dinner in the evening was disorganised with small portions. Both evenings there was a club/pub singer blasting out karaoke at the top of his/her lungs to an empty room, which was a bit much for 8pm (hence the room was empty). I was also unable to play the golf course due to the Club Championship, despite being told a couple of weeks prior that I should be able to book a tee time 7-days prior for 8am before the event started. This is understandable but should have been made clear in the communication so that I had enough time to organise a nearby alternative, none of the communication prior to my stay made me aware of this.The hotel is attached to a health club and golf course which seem to be the priorities.
