Located just outside the heart of Nottingham, The Tudor House Hotel is a no-frills, budget-friendly choice for travelers who want to stay close to the action without paying premium prices. Housed in a traditional building, the hotel offers simple, cozy accommodations with free WiFi, private bathrooms, and in-room tea and coffee-making facilities. Why Concert-goers love it

With Nottingham Castle just 1.4 miles away and the National Ice Centre 1.5 miles out, this spot makes it easy to get to shows without the hustle of being right downtown. The hotel’s location offers a quieter atmosphere for post-concert recovery, and the proximity to public transport makes late-night returns simple. The 2:00 PM check-in and 11:00 AM check-out give a bit of flexibility for those rolling in late after a big night.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Solo travelers heading to a can't-miss gig
  • Couples wanting a quiet weekend escape with a live music twist
  • Fans who prefer a calm space to recharge post-show

Food and Drink Options

While The Tudor House Hotel doesn’t have an on-site restaurant, its location along Mansfield Road means there are plenty of walkable dining spots nearby, from takeaways to casual eateries. Perfect for grabbing a bite before or after a gig. Don’t expect 24/7 room service, but tea and coffee facilities in every room help with those early mornings after a late night.

Nightlife Options

You won’t find live performances in the hotel itself, but you’re just a short ride from Nottingham’s vibrant nightlife. Bars, pubs, and clubs are scattered throughout the city center, offering everything from live DJ sets to craft beer lounges. The hotel’s location lets you enjoy the scene and return to a quiet room for the night.

What People Say

Guests appreciate the value for money and the clean, basic rooms. Many mention the hotel as a great budget base with helpful staff and easy access to public transport. It’s often praised for being quiet at night, which is a big plus after a high-energy concert.

Areas for Improvement

Some travelers note that the hotel is a bit dated in decor and lacks certain amenities like on-site dining or luxury touches. However, most agree it’s a fair trade-off for the low price and location.

The Bottom Line

If you’re after a budget-friendly, quiet place to rest your head after a gig in Nottingham, The Tudor House Hotel fits the bill perfectly.

My stay here was not...

Liked: The tv was the only good thing in the room
Disliked: I didn’t like how dirty the chair was in the room. The tables were dirty and dusty. The floors were creaky and dirty including the landings. No towels. Windows didn’t open much so no circulation.

Bad

Liked: There is nothing good to write about. The room is stuffy, no window, no sunlight, and put a window blind in the supposed window block off with plywood in disguise. The room number is 101 on the first floor.
