Great hotel with a few...

Liked: The hotel itself is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. Everything was absolutely clean and spotless. Beds comfy and the whole facility very well maintained. We loved the location and the hotel facilities. We made a Texas round trip. Stayed in more than 12 hotels. So, a good bit to compare.
Disliked: Unfortunately the staff, especially the reception staff, didn't meet our expectations. We booked a room with breakfast. 2 adults and one child. We had to pay for our simple Americano. When I went to reception to ask about breakfast, I was told in a quite unfriendly way that I had to pay for the breakfast. I reminded her that we booked and paid this all upfront. The lady then checked our reservation and handed over a breakfast voucher. She told me that it's only for 2 people. Our daughter is not included. I have never experienced this before, and we are travelling a lot, No information or explanation. Just a phrase, that's how we do it. We were so disappointed with this rude behaviour that we decided to check out immediately without using our voucher. We are more than happy to pay extra fees for whatever, but we expect a bare minimum of service in a hotel of this standard. Especially a friendly and kind behaviour. The lady at our check-in was the exact opposite. Friendly and welcoming. The same applies to all the other staff.

Liked: Very nice hotel in a nice downtown area. The rooms were gorgeous with high ceilings!
Disliked: Not much of a view from our specific room.

Liked: Comfortable room. And a Great Restaurant. They store your luggage until your room is ready. Great help with luggage.

One night stay prior to...

Liked: I always research a property and the type of room I am getting. I was escorted in the freezing cold across the street to a room I did not book. Not great to have to call reception and complain. My least favorite thing to do! Invited to drag myself and my bags back across the street by myself to be put into the room I reserved… it was a very good room. I only had one night to enjoy the property so it left me with a sour note.
