Liked: We have been before and like the atmosphere and accommodation.
Disliked: It was a very hot night and there was only a duvet on the bed. Plain sheet would have done. Small window meant it was quite airless.

Liked: Great location, close to the town centre and theatre. Lovely staff and very comfortable room for our 2 night stay.

Liked: The room was large and the bed was comfortable. The building had local charm. The meal offerings were appealing. Very close to town.
Disliked: The fridge in the room barely worked. It did not keep anything cold. A lack of airconditioning on a hot day was uncomfortable.

Pleasant

Disliked: The restaurant closed at 8pm, in my view this is too early. I had to go out to eat.Also, no air conditioning in the hotel - during my stay the weather was very warm (for the UK), and so the hotel felt overly warm and stuffy.

Disappointed we expected so much...

Liked: Apart from location and staff doing their best in difficult circumstances nothing to recommend it.
Disliked: Room 5 was very poor damp in bedroom and bathroom TV did not work. Carpets on stairs etc were threadbare in places and unsafe. On second night moved to a better room Superior king but disappointingly only a standard double bed. This was once a vibrant pub restaurant but now in need of major renovation
