The Spotlight on The Tower

Riverside Views and City Vibes at The Tower Hotel

Modern comfort meets iconic London scenery at The Tower Hotel, perfectly perched between the River Thames and St. Katharine’s Dock. With Tower Bridge as your next-door neighbor and panoramic views of The Shard, this 4-star hotel blends convenience, style, and skyline drama. It’s an ideal base for travelers looking to explore the city by day and dive into its music scene by night.

Why Concert-goers love it

Location is everything—and The Tower delivers. Just an 8-minute walk to Tower Hill Tube Station, you’ll have smooth, late-night access to major venues across London. For a scenic ride home, hop on the Thames Clippers at St. Katharine’s Pier, just 2 minutes away. Soundproofed rooms keep post-show noise at bay, and with a 3:00 PM check-in and 11:00 AM checkout, you’ve got flexibility for pre- and post-concert downtime.

Who this Hotel is great for

Groups of friends heading to a gig together will love the central location and nearby pubs.
Solo travelers chasing a bucket-list show will find it safe and well-connected.
Couples can soak in romantic riverside walks after a night of live music.
Fans wanting quiet after the encore will appreciate the peaceful dockside setting.
Budget-conscious music lovers get great value for a four-star stay in a prime spot.

Food and Drink Options

The on-site restaurant serves up modern fusion cuisine ideal for pre-show dinners or late bites. The bar not only offers an extensive drink menu but also unbeatable views of Tower Bridge—perfect for sharing concert photos and winding down. While 24/7 room service isn’t available, the location makes it easy to find late-night eats nearby, and breakfast is available for those slow, music-filled mornings.

Nightlife Options

While there’s no live music on-site, you’re steps from London’s vibrant nightlife. Walk to riverside pubs, cozy wine bars, or hop on the Tube to buzzing neighborhoods like Shoreditch or Soho. Prefer staying in? The hotel bar offers a more chilled-out vibe with local craft drinks and a front-row seat to the city lights.

What People Say

Guests rave about the incredible views and easy transport access. Reviewers love the friendly staff, clean rooms, and the unique feeling of being tucked between two iconic landmarks. It’s frequently described as a “hidden gem” with a location that’s hard to beat.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that the décor could use a modern refresh, and a few rooms are more compact than expected. However, the views and location more than make up for it.

The Bottom Line

If you want a stylish, well-connected London base with riverside charm and unbeatable post-concert access, The Tower Hotel hits the right note.

Not a 4 star!

Liked: The location, staff and Breakfast were faultless
Disliked: The hotel is very tired and in desperate need for a refurb definitely not a 4 star! Our room was supposed to be a double, but the room was tiny with the bed pushed against a wall. We were on the 10th floor and the air conditioning was also broken so after the 2nd night we had to move rooms.

Poor experience, have stayed in...

Liked: The location of the hotel and the view from the river view room was excellent.
Disliked: The rooms were tired and the mould on the silicon sealant around the bath and tiles was unacceptable for a hotel of the perceived standard. The plus was rusty and room was generally in need of updating. There was confusion around the booking and I was charged twice for the booking and have not been able to secure a refund despite providing all the requested information.

Expensive view of Tower Bridge...

Liked: Breakfast was great, Concierge deserve a special mention, front of house also very accommodating. Location brilliant.
Disliked: Cleanliness in the bathroom was very poor, the diverter valve on the tap was missing the pull-up ‘knob’, the tiles behind the toilet were broken and only poorly repaired. The lights in the wardrobe didn’t work, the tiles in the bath were badly cracked, the control panel for the air conditioning looks like it was fitted by a 4 year old.The painted pedestal in the wardrobe needs a coat of paint, the air duct in the wardrobe needs securing. There was a door on our floor that looked like it had been forced open and not repaired.

Poor - 1.5 out of 5

Malcolm Mon, 14 July 2025

Poor value worn out facilities

Liked: Breakfast and location great
Disliked: No working aircon in rooms public areas are cooled but not rooms. Had to indure 30 degree overnight room temp with a small fan and useless cooler. Need to invest in some small mobile aircon units if the main is not man enough for the job. Dont expect over hot rooms for £400+ per night. Offered to change room but not very helpful as we had to leave for a show and nothing done before we left. In 2025 not what you expect from a top london hotel.
