Lots of Character

Liked: This was a lovely old place to stay with lots of character. It was very busy with lots of functions go on. Location was good with easy parking.
Disliked: The bed was really uncomfortable and the pillows were way past their use by, spoilt the two night stay.

Good stay before the Cowal...

Liked: Location is beautiful, and staff were very warm/ inviting. Room was clean, Bar 1808 was adorable and the food was great!
Disliked: Rooms are not well soundproofed- (I however expect this in an old hotel such as this) It was quite warm, so the neighboring rooms also had their windows open, and we could hear their TV, morning alarms, etc. Bring earplugs if you're sensitive to noise.

Liked: The location was convenient to where we wanted to be. The staff were helpful. We ate in the restaurant the first night and would certainly recommend the restaurant.
Disliked: Nothing.
