Passable

Disliked: Travellers beware when putting your card down for the security deposit. I had previously paid for my booking and put my card down just for the security hold however, the staff member that checked me in then charged me for my stay again at the completely incorrect rate. I went down the following morning to resolve this only for my card to get charged again overnight. At this point I was $5000 out of pocket and only just starting my holiday. Over a month later I have only just now received the money back from the double charge and security hold. The manager was helpful to try and resolve the issue but unfortunately was unable to get the money back on my card. To be that much out of pocket for a month caused a lot of stress for our holiday so please be careful when checking in and putting your card down.

Superb

Liked: The chap on reception when we arrived and the one serving breakfast the next day we're superb. Incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and respected. The room we were kindly upgraded to for part of our larger group was fantastic - incredible views over Brooklyn.
Disliked: Sadly most of the women on duty were less impressive. Could do to work on customer service skills, very brusk and cool.

Liked: the location is very good, close to transportation, attractions, nice coffee shops, Dumbo and Manhattan bridge is minutes away. i liked the interior of the rooms.
Disliked: first room they gave us was so dusty, it looked like nobody checked on it in months. another unpleasant surprise was someone's underwear and socks left in the closet, we had to switch the room. the second room was much cleaner. the stuff at the reception desk didn't seem very friendly, hang up on me when I was asking for wifi password. the bed was not very comfortable, the mattress plastic cover was just so loud every time i moved. customer service definitely could've been better. the little bar they had on the second floor allowed guests to play their own music which i think is inconsiderate toward other guests.

The hotel and customer service...

Liked: I appreciate that the hotel was conveniently located near my workplace, and I was able to find parking nearby.
Disliked: The room was tiny, the bed was uncomfortable, the carpet in the hotel was filthy, and the front desk staff were neither pleasant nor welcoming.

Bad experience

Liked: Good location for our needs.
Disliked: The overall condition of the hotel is rundown- carpets dirty, decor dated etc. requested a room off Flatbush which was accompanied. The room however was 79 degree at 9 pm. Let staff know the following morning and was assured it would be corrected. We stayed 3 nights and our room ranged from 79-83 degrees- not comfortable. Room have something on the ceiling above the bed, our one coffee cup was never picked up and cleaned for all three days. We’ve stayed here many times but this was a bad experience all the way around.
