Liked: Good location, good food, pstaff very good
Disliked: We was in bedroom right next to beer garden, which should have closed at 11pm but the noise went on until 12.30.

Lovely stay

Liked: Spacious room, well presented. Clean and tidy. Breakfast was delicious.

Brilliant, honestly brilliant. Hope to...

Liked: This was a fabulous little find. The room was perfect, the breakfast had a great choice and on the Sunday we had a roast and I think it was one of the best roasts we have eaten for a long time.
Disliked: The only thing I might say was that the car park was a little on the tight side for our car but I genuinely feel that it wasn't much of a problem at all. Presumably if we felt strongly enough about it we could have paid to park somewhere else for our visit. Also, once we were parked we then got taxis back and forth to the venue we were visiting.

Excellent place in Barnard Castle...

Liked: The staff were helpful and courteous. We arrived early and the receptionist helpfully checked if our room was ready and, since it was, we were able to go to the room well ahead of the check in time. The room was clean and comfortable and the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. The breakfast was excellent.
Disliked: Some of the furniture and fittings were a bit “old” and could do with a refresh.
