Reasonable quality hotel

Liked: The bars, restaurants and leisure facilities are all very high quality and, in general, our room was clean and warm with a comfortable bed and a good shower. The view over the Ironbridge Gorge from our room was excellent. The breakfast was extensive and high quality and the complimentary bottles of water in the room was a nice touch. The receptionist was welcoming and informative.
Disliked: Parts of the room, especially the air conditioning unit, did not seem to have been dusted for a number of days and we couldn't get the dressing table light to work. There were also burn marks on the window and a hole in the net curtain, showing that people had smoked in the room and the previous occupant's shampoo bottle had been left in the shower when we arrived. There was no lift to take luggage up to our second floor room.

Disliked: The hotel did not have supplies for dental kits and room slippers. Something very basic any 4 star property provides.

Disliked: The golf course was of a challenging standard for our gold society, but on each of the three days scores were bettered as our members got used to the course layout
