Passable

Liked: The bathroom was finished to a very high standard but if you want a bath just realise you'll need 20-30 mins to fill it plus watch out for that pop up plug in the middle as your bum will catch it and open it on nultiple occasions while bathing
Disliked: The room was pokey, staff made you feel like everything was a chore, food was very mediocre and I'm sure my fish was dodgy (had a smell). The room is SO loud as all the rooms are adjacent to a 60mph busy busy road. I quietens down at about 10pm but then you're awake at around 5am as you have to have the window open due to the heat. Good sized TV thoughI'll definitely not be staying again

One night stay

Liked: Sandra the housekeeper was brilliant. So organised, helpful and pleasant.
Disliked: Room no. 2 was nice and clean, but overlooked a very busy road which was very noisy till late. Evening menu was a little bit disappointing. Nobody else came into the restaurant throughout the evening. They just visited the pub. Bar manager was nice.

Are you serious?

Liked: The breakfast?
Disliked: What could have been better is the lack of cooperation on your part, Booking.com, to change the dates of our visit because we needed repairs to our vehicle. We gave you plenty of notice to do this, at least ten days and with the agreement of The Tavern, but there was a delaying tactic on your part to prevent us. We note that you have now charged us the total amount due - for nothing - no response to our request - delaying tactics on your part, in order to get our money - for nothing - no opportunity to change the booking - no stay at The Tavern - little communication. So you want feedback. The way that we were treated primarily by Booking.com has been horrible. So yes, we are sure the breakfast would have been lovely had we been there. Anyway, good luck with your rip off business - what a joke.

This was just an en...

Liked: The room (four) had been very nicely modernised. Would have benefited from a king size bed and a new quilt.
Disliked: The breakfast was appalling. There was a problem with theirTea urn so the water in the pot of tea was lukewarm. Muesli was on the menu but had run out. As for the cooked breakfast, Overcooked tomato, hash brown and Black pudding. And practically raw bacon and sausage. If we had eaten that sausage we would have been ill. However the manager was called and we were refunded for the price of the breakfast. such a shame as the evening meal had been very good albeit with a different chef.
