Very nice place to stay
Liked: very accommodating staff. Really nice place to stay and the steak and ale pie was really nice. Breakfast was also tasty. location is good, close to beetham which is what we needed. Our room was very nice although cobwebs need dusting away on the wood beams. The bath was perfect !! overall a really lovely place with everything we needed.

Liked: The food was good and the bathrooms in the bedrooms were very nice
Disliked: some of the chairs were old and the legs were damaged in the bar, the downstairs toilets in the pub were dirty and in disrepair. there was only 4 of us for breakfast but none of us got the correct order. I think some of the staff live above the bedrooms and after the pub shut it was like they were putting their own version of the river dance on the ceiling until around 1am.

Liked: General decor was good.
Disliked: Understaffed and inexperienced. Room cold. Food, beef pie 4 pieces of beef the rest 95% diced carrots & suede. Cooked breakfast cold a chip from previous nights meal on the plate. A chap in tweeds going in out of the kitchen in sock feet bringing out breakfast for his mates. Very poor standards of hygiene.

Liked: Nice little country pub. Great staff, food was delicious!
Disliked: It is situated on a main road so some traffic noise but to be fair it is in a rural location not urban.
