Very good

Liked: The hotel has lots of character, being an old coaching inn, and a nice garden area. The restaurant was very good for dinner - good quality dishes at reasonable prices. Overall good value for the area.
Disliked: The breakfast was rather average. Also the rooms don't have air-conditioning and the window didn't open much, so would not be good in hot weather. It was very warm even in average summer weather They don't offer any alternative to the fairly thick duvet - we ended up removing the duvet cover and sleeping under that. There was a fault with the fire alarm in the middle of the night which hopefully was a one off

Excellent hotel and pub; perfect...

Liked: Very lucky with our room location, looking over fields. Delicious food at the pub with super lovely waitress and waiters. Great menu. Beds were very comfortable and the room was smart.
Disliked: The room needed a little extra cleaning to get rid of cobwebs

What else do you want...

Liked: Last minute booking accepted at night at a reduced price
Disliked: The Guinness in the bar was a bit off but it was a spell of hot weather. I guess their cellar Dora’s not hold up the right temperature and Guinness is almost as sensitive as my ex wives

Ok but would not rush...

Liked: The location and food at the hotel was lovely.
Disliked: Room could have been much cleaner - the bathroom smelt like sewage - there were large rips in curtains and netting.

Brilliant hotel for disabled guests

Liked: The accessible room was excellent. One of the best wet rooms, with everything in the right place to maintain independence.
Disliked: Seems a shame to have to pay for parking at the hotel, but there is an disabled parking space at the front of the hotel. This is free for 2 hours between 8.30-6pm, then free. So actually you can park between 4pm- 10.30 am for free.
