In the Peak District The Sycamore Inn is a beautifully refurbished country inn. Located in the quaint village of Birch Vale The Sycamore has 5 rooms with attached bathroom and free parking. The Sycamore's restaurant serves traditional home-cooked food while the bar provides large comfortable sofas and an open fire. All the rooms in this traditional inn also have baths. 7 miles from the spa town of Buxton and 15 miles from Manchester Birch Vale is excellently located for hikers and mini breaks to the countryside. The Sycamore is set beside the popular Sett Valley Trail which leads to the foot of the spectacular Kinder Scout the Peak District's highest point and part of the Pennine Way National Trail.

Fabulous little place very welcoming

Liked: The property was lovely inside and the food was fantastic as were the very friendly staff. Place had a lovely feel. We will definitely be back :)
Disliked: Just looked abit tired from the outside.

Fantastic couple of days at...

Liked: We loved the welcoming, friendly staff and how the owners were so dog friendly even providing a sausage for our dog every morning at breakfast and a box of doggie treats and essentials in our room.
Disliked: Nothing really, would love to return in warmer weather though to enjoy the walking more.

Warm, friendly welcome at this...

Liked: Quirky accommodation, warm friendly welcome, loved the " snug" very dog friendly with welcome pack, wonderful dinner and breakfast.
Disliked: Nothing

Really great place with fabulous...

Liked: Breakfast was excellent. Additional to room cost but real value for money
Disliked: Water mixer on shower took a little tweaking
