Disappointing we had been looking...

Liked: Location, staff were always very helpful. Free car parking
Disliked: Room was overpriced and overrated. It was very hot during the warm weather no air conditioning only fans to cool it not very successfully.

Very disappointing.

Liked: The staff were pleasant and helpful.
Disliked: The position of the room. It faced the back of the building, the car park and the fire exit stairs. etc.Due to the weather being hot, the windows needed to be open. After a busy day, we were looking forward to a good night's sleep, but unfortunately, sleep was interrupted due to noise of people's voices when leaving the building to the car park and closing of the hotel's doors. The worst of the noise was the sound of a motor burring noise coming from the building in from of our window. At 6 a.m. there were vehicle noises from outside.

A little luxurious gem in...

Liked: This is a little luxurious gem in the heart of Southwold. Lovely rooms and a great restaurant. Our room was beautifully appointed and very classy. The in-room Bose speaker to connect to was a nice touch and a small free bottle of Adnam’s gin was super generous. The food in the restaurant is outstanding Totally unpretentious but still super unusual. I had cold beetroot soup with horseradish - which would not normally be my cup of tea - but, oh my God, it was unbelievable. I have to go back just for that!!!
Disliked: Nothing. It was all good. The rooms are not cheap but ultimately you get what you pay for and as returning customers we know what we get for our money and still keep coming back.

Liked: The staff were so friendly and helpful Food was excellent although a little expensive but definitely worth it for a special occasion Well situated in the town too
Disliked: Only small groan would be not enough parking spaces
