Located in England's smallest cathedral city The Swan provides excellent accommodations and hotel facilities. The Swan makes an ideal base for exploring Somerset. Beautiful hotel in a fantastic...

Liked: Fantastic location . The hotel is beautiful old building which is really well decorated downstairs . Nice welcoming reception staff. Good Sunday lunch . Wells is beautiful. The cathedral is magnificent. Well worth going on a guided tour.
Disliked: Room 48 was a bit tired . The chair as you entered the room was stained . The furniture was ok just needed a bit of love and attention . Shower was temperamental. It was however a big room and the bed was comfortable. Could do with a small fridge in this warm weather.

A pleasant stay in a...

Liked: Located in the centre of town, very convenient. Our room was large and comfortable. All staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast exceeded expectation as it was exceptional. Free parking.
Disliked: Our room was above the high street (although not busy late at night). Tricky to get in and out of the car park (although free for guests).

Great welcome from the staff,...

Liked: The bar had been decorated as had most of the hotel, we have been staying here every year for 20 years and this is the best we have seen it.
Disliked: The parking can often be a problem especially as there was a wedding there

Would prefer a room in...

Liked: Very comfortable and well maintained
Disliked: The room we had was extremely nice and comfortable but not in a great location - middle of the car park so it was noisy very early in the morning and on the ground floor so blinds had to kept down for privacy.

Great.

Liked: Lovely hotel.
Disliked: We were in the coach house which was very hot ( heatwave ). Hotel provided a fan but the room was still very warm.

Recommended- would certainly return to...

Liked: Although the hotel is old it has a certain charm about it. Room was very comfortable and all the amenities were there.Breakfast was great and staff were very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Nothing, everything was fine.
