Lovely stay

Liked: Lovely location, friendly staff. Would return.
Disliked: Bed was a bit uncomfortable. Bathroom needs some hooks. Borrowed iron & ironing board which was useless.

Liked: It was a lovely spacious room right on the river. I had a choice of free drinks: tea, coffee (machine), refrigerated water and white wine
Disliked: It would have been nice to have red wine on offerThe walls were a bit too thin and my immediate neighbours a bit noisy

Disliked: Dirty stained carpets. Lumpy sunken bed. Chipped paintwork. Dirty and rusty furniture on the balcony so unable to use.

Disliked: Negative points No breakfast No biscuits in room.No bottled water.No spare blankets No spare quilt when we asked for another one.Long-life milk ( yuck) No fridge Herbal teas not toped up.Mattress was like laying on a pebbles beach.Towel rail didn't work. Room was absolutely freezing. Heating was controlled in the corridor by a thermostat with big sign saying “ DO NOT TOUCH”Dust and cobwebs behind the doors, dusty lamps, and stained carpet.Smokers are allowed to smoke on the lovely porches looking out over the waterway, so the smell was absolutely awful as the smoke entered our room, we were unable to use our porch or open a window, dirty ash tray left on the table didn’t help.Rooms are NOT soundproof at all ! First night we had a meal in the restaurant , what we had was nice and tasty, however the size was more like a child’s portion ! We have never had a gammon stake that was smaller than the pineapple! All that was on the plate was a few chips, one small egg a pineapple ring and the smallest gammon we have ever seen. To top it the food was more expensive than the price shows on their menu online.For £231 for two nights, it should have been a lot better, very disappointing indeed. Not place we would recommend or return sadly.
