If you are looking for...

Liked: Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Just off the main drag so not too noisy. Great coffee downstairs at Arvo was a bonus.

Liked: Staff is very helpful and accommodating when we get there and the room that we choose was too small with all my luggage, stroller, and kids they went above and beyond.
Disliked: Pool and ambiance

Vintage surf vibe in busy...

Liked: Loved the staff, the coffee shop, Mahina & Sons. Overall vibe/decor was cool. It was authentically vintage and the older age of the building definitely helped with the vibe. Kind of like a cool refurbished motel. But the staff was super friendly and helpful. It seems like the only dog friendly hotel in Waikiki, which was nice.
Disliked: The parking was not convenient and was a bit of a hassle. Would be much better if it was on site. Didn’t love the location - really busy and loud and dirty…but that’s Waikiki I guess. Could tell hotel was older building, so when we had the tsunami warning, we evacuated out of hotel and to friends house. Urgency about tsunami warning and directions to evacuate came a bit late.

Disliked: It is an hotel dog friendly and this isn't reported on Booking. Moquette and sofa very dirty and smelly.

Liked: This is the 5th or 6th stay at Surfjack.It is a 5 minute walk to the main street so is very quiet.It has a great pool area with a restaurant beside it open most of the day.It just has a great vibe and the staff are lovely.We will be back.
