Good

Worth the money, comfy, definitely...

Liked: Friendly staff, bed was very comfy, bathroom was nice and clean with good shower/sink/bath. Water was very warm very fast, facilities were generally quite clean too. We asked for an extra pillow as well for my back issues and they happily gave one to us! They were very comfy and the bed was very nice too. Convenient plugs and usb plugs and lightswitches by the bed too. Good lighting, windows easily closed, felt quite secure and comfy cosy and private. Was pretty quiet considering it's above a pub. When we checked in advance to book and looked at the prices, they were more expensive. We ended up booking a week in advance and it ended up being cheaper for a room than it would be in the local travelodge. Honestly pretty worth the price. Didn't try the food add on extra's as wanted to save money but it was nice they had the option. Also like that theres an entrance both at the front and back of the building during the day. Right in the middle of haverhill and right opposite a spoons so good location too. Right by the bus station as well. Free wifi, kettle, fan (did rattle a lot though), radiator, safe, hangers, lots of drawers, mirror vanity/table, lots of pillows, do not disturb sign, lock on the door, curtains covered the windows well too, overall pretty decent hotel. Would stay here again next time i'm in haverhill for the convenience and generally comfy stay. Very random vape vending machine downstairs too which was weirdly convenient, but it did give me the wrong flavour :/ good thing i like strawberries anyway lol!
Disliked: Fairly sure whoever was meant to do up the room before check in forgot to check the bathroom at all because one of the soap thingys in the shower was half empty, maybe 3 or 4 pieces of toilet paper clinging to the roll, and no towels at all. We went to the bar to ask for towels and a roll of toilet paper and they brought it all up right away bless them. Shower also got very hot very fast even on the cold setting, but that's definitely personal preference. One of the lights in the bathroom was broken as well opposite the toilet.There were some marks and stains on the walls in the room as well, and some dust and random dirt and stuff in some of the drawers by the bed and vanity.Aside from that, half of the tv channels don't work which was so annoying lol! And not sure if we were just technophobes but when we tried to put captions on, it was stuck at the top of the tv and would cover half of the screen so we couldnt see what was even going on. Generally had weak signal, wifi was free which was lovely but very slow (may have just been my phone and tablet but neither worked for hours). There were 2 switches at each lightswitch, one for lights and other did nothing!At about 7am-10am we were woken up by the staff slamming doors very very loudly next to the rooms which genuinely gave me a headache. The music from nine jars below wasn't actually too bad during the night and it went quiet after about 10/11pm, got a great nights sleep, but oh my god the door banging or whatever was going on all morning was so repetitive and loud we considered checking out early just to get rid of headache.We had an email saying we could check in at 3pm, yet when we got there they said to wait till 4pm. And although it's a given and it's not advertised for it, keep in mind it's not the most accessible as there's stairs to get to the rooms, albeit not many at all but worth keeping in mind if you use mobility aids.

Disappointing

Disliked: No one on reception when I arrived. I asked for quiet room but was given one over bar with constant thud of music. Bathroom was cold with very dusty towel rail which would not come on.

100% would stay again.

Liked: The room in general 10*Shower, the quality of the coffee, comfy bed.
Disliked: Bar/restaruant closes at 4pm on sundays

I regret having booked this...

Liked: Nothing.
Disliked: Too small room. There wasn’t even place to put my laptop and work. The shower door didn’t close so the whole bathroom was wet when taking a shower. Not cleaned. There were dust rolls behind the water cooler and behind the chair. The breakfast is served at the table which makes it very slow.

shocking customer service avoid

Liked: nothing at all wouldnt book here again!!!!
Disliked: We was booked in here for 2 nights whilst having to visit for a family funeral, we set off and had severe engine trouble 1 hour into the 4 hour journey where the engine lost oil due to a hole happening on the way down ,whilst we had a 3-4 hour wait for the racwe thought best give the hotel the heads up looking like we wasn't going to make itthey said we had to deal with booking.com ,which we did and they told us not to worry to much they would email the hotel and explain the situation just get ourselves safe and sorted.the hotel took the full money after speaking to bookingcom again the hotel hadn't replied to themso i emailed them in various ways no response the via facebook they read it and ignoredfinally after emailing again today they responded saying it had been passed to manager to deal with .but they wouldn't deal with me only bookingcomspoke with bookingcom today who finally got to speak to the hotel spoke with the admin lady who said she had spoke to james the owner who refused to refund anything even under the circumstances of the visit and our unfortunate issue on the way there.absolutely disgusting customer service avoid at all costs!!!!
