Poor

Liked: They sold out of rooms and put us in the residences. My hair dryer broke and I kept being connected to stay Alfred when I paid for a room at the Statler hotel. I was never brought a hair dryer and I was late to my work meeting.

Not worth the price

Liked: I loved the design and the concept. I purposely booked this hotel because it is mid Century Modern and my boyfriend and I love that. I love that there was 50s and 60s music playing in the lobby and in the elevators, it was really cute and fun.
Disliked: I booked a room with a large soaking tub because I am a bath taker and that is an unusual feature in a hotel room and I was excited to use it, unfortunately I never got to... Upon arriving, our ac was broken and our room was almost 90 degrees. I called down to the front desk, they said a technician would be right up, but 30 minutes had passed and we needed to start getting ready for our event, so we couldn't wait any longer. I had to go downstairs to ask for another room, explaining that we didn't have time to wait because we needed ro get ready. They switched our room and they were very nice and it was no problem, but the new room was no where near comparable. The new room was barely bigger than our king size bed and there was no tub, so that was an upgrade I paid for, for nothing. We stayed two nights, I didn't bother them to switch us again, it'd be too big of a hassle. There are also a couple of bars in the hotel that get jam packed at night with a bunch of kids at night (I am in my 30s, but they were early 20s) so, when we came back from our events each evening, it was like walking thru a dance club to get to the elevators. My preference is for a nicer, more established, upscale hotel feel and less of a Bourbon Street experience. Overall, I don't think I would stay there again, especially at that price. I am an Hilton Honors member and have been for almost a decade, but there are less expensive hotels that provide a better overall experience than this one did.

Swanky stay but could use...

Liked: The decor of the hotel was neat, the valets were friendly and helpful. Having a nice soaker tub was a cool feature - swanky bathroom, too. The tech was neat they used in the room. The bed was comfy, headboard in the room was a nice padded wall that really made sitting in bed comfortably.
Disliked: Overall it was goo, don't want to be a downer but it isn't a cheap place to stay so I'm a bit picky. The hotel can't help the noise - folks walking in the halls were incredibly rude and loud all night, but again not the hotel's fault! AC wasn't cooling as we had hoped, the bathtub drain was not fully closing so once you turned off the water it would slowly drain out. The minibar-fridge drawers needed repair, the edging had worn off and just looked bad. For a swanky hotel, it could have used some magic eraser on the walls, some minor repairs, and some carpet attention. Also, we only got two towels, washcloths, and hand towels for two people. You get more at a DoubleTree than that! We had to cut our trip short due to a family emergency or I would have complained but we were ready to go.

Mid Century Modern Lovers Dream

Liked: I loved everything about this place...the architecture, design, gorgeous room...the bed was more comfy that my own!!! The Statler was exceptionally clean, green, & non-smoking. It does accommodate smokers tho & had multiple places outside to welcome them!
Disliked: There are no Vending machines...so bring your own drinks/snacks if you think you?re going to want them...

Overall a little disappointing for...

Liked: Location
Disliked: Check in was supposed to be 4pm. Did not get my room until 5:30pm. A/C does not get as cold as I like at night. Pool and pool bar is open to the public and feels kind of trashy
