Urban Style Meets Live Music Energy in Downtown Seattle

Modern and effortlessly cool, The State Hotel places you in the heart of downtown Seattle, just steps from the city's top music venues, nightlife, and waterfront views. With sleek design, well-equipped rooms, and a rooftop terrace, this 4-star hotel blends comfort with a distinctly Seattle vibe. You're never far from the action, but you’ll still have a quiet, comfortable space to recharge after the show.

Why Concert-goers love it

Want to roll from the encore to your bed in minutes? The State Hotel’s unbeatable location means you’re walkable to many of Seattle’s biggest concert venues and bars. Rooms are soundproofed enough for restful sleep after a night of loud music, and with a 24-hour front desk and late check-out at noon, there’s no rush the next day. Whether you're catching a show at the stadium or a more intimate venue, you’ll appreciate easy access and a welcoming atmosphere made for music lovers.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a stylish home base between shows and bars
  • Solo travelers seeing a bucket-list artist and wanting a safe, central stay
  • Couples planning a weekend filled with music and city exploring
  • Fans who want a quieter, upscale space to come down after the concert
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who still want a touch of luxury

Food and Drink Options

The on-site restaurant serves up elevated American cuisine with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options available—great for a pre-show dinner or late-night bite. While there’s no 24/7 room service, the bar stays open late, and you’re within walking distance of tons of eateries for post-show cravings. Sleep in after the encore—breakfast is served late enough for night owls.

Nightlife Options

You’re just steps away from some of Seattle’s most iconic nightlife spots—from dive bars with local acts to sleek cocktail lounges. Back at the hotel, the rooftop terrace offers a chill space to sip a local craft beer or cocktail and relive your favorite concert moments.

What People Say

Guests love the prime downtown location, calling it perfect for exploring Seattle's music and food scenes. Reviewers consistently praise the friendly staff and stylish rooms with great views. The rooftop terrace and bar get special shoutouts as ideal places to wind down after a night out.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that parking is limited and can be pricey, so ride shares or public transit might be your best bet. A few visitors have noted that rooms can be compact—but they’re thoughtfully designed and comfortable for a short city stay.

The Bottom Line

If you're headed to Seattle for a concert, The State Hotel offers the perfect mix of location, comfort, and style to make your music-filled trip memorable.

We enjoyed our experience at...

Liked: The rooms are pricey but I enjoyed the extra benefits the rooms came with that were unexpected like the $15 credit to Ben Paris, 50% admission to SAM as well as other benefits. I enjoyed having restaurant/lounge in the same building. And when it was time to stroll the city, the location was great as it provided walking distance to many places I wanted to check out.
Disliked: I didn't know about the discount for parking if you book parking ahead of time. I couldn't find where to book parking. But regardless parking fees weren't too crazy and it was a short walk from and to the parking garage.

No tub, no view, no...

Liked: Bed was comfortable and accomodations clean.
Disliked: Listed as having bathtubs online, no bathtubs in any room. Restaurant and Bar were only open 4pm-8pm; I sat in bar with restaurant staff observing me at the bar, all the while saying nothing. Bartender emerged after 15 minutes and told me they were not open. Restaurant was disappointing due to inaccessibility due to operating hours and staff being rude. Room had a view of a brick wall 1 foot away.

Great Location and staff

Liked: The location was excellent. We were able to walk to many of our destinations. Recommend staying 6th floor or above with a water view. Otherwise may be looking at a parking
Disliked: The room is a bit small and not set up well. No closet and only a small area to hang maybe shirts. The TV is also in an awkward place. Unable to watch unless you lay on the bed sideways. Too much chlorine in the water.
