The Spotlight on The State Hotel

Urban Style Meets Live Music Energy in Downtown Seattle

Modern and effortlessly cool, The State Hotel places you in the heart of downtown Seattle, just steps from the city's top music venues, nightlife, and waterfront views. With sleek design, well-equipped rooms, and a rooftop terrace, this 4-star hotel blends comfort with a distinctly Seattle vibe. You're never far from the action, but you’ll still have a quiet, comfortable space to recharge after the show.

Why Concert-goers love it

Want to roll from the encore to your bed in minutes? The State Hotel’s unbeatable location means you’re walkable to many of Seattle’s biggest concert venues and bars. Rooms are soundproofed enough for restful sleep after a night of loud music, and with a 24-hour front desk and late check-out at noon, there’s no rush the next day. Whether you're catching a show at the stadium or a more intimate venue, you’ll appreciate easy access and a welcoming atmosphere made for music lovers.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a stylish home base between shows and bars
  • Solo travelers seeing a bucket-list artist and wanting a safe, central stay
  • Couples planning a weekend filled with music and city exploring
  • Fans who want a quieter, upscale space to come down after the concert
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who still want a touch of luxury

Food and Drink Options

The on-site restaurant serves up elevated American cuisine with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options available—great for a pre-show dinner or late-night bite. While there’s no 24/7 room service, the bar stays open late, and you’re within walking distance of tons of eateries for post-show cravings. Sleep in after the encore—breakfast is served late enough for night owls.

Nightlife Options

You’re just steps away from some of Seattle’s most iconic nightlife spots—from dive bars with local acts to sleek cocktail lounges. Back at the hotel, the rooftop terrace offers a chill space to sip a local craft beer or cocktail and relive your favorite concert moments.

What People Say

Guests love the prime downtown location, calling it perfect for exploring Seattle's music and food scenes. Reviewers consistently praise the friendly staff and stylish rooms with great views. The rooftop terrace and bar get special shoutouts as ideal places to wind down after a night out.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that parking is limited and can be pricey, so ride shares or public transit might be your best bet. A few visitors have noted that rooms can be compact—but they’re thoughtfully designed and comfortable for a short city stay.

The Bottom Line

If you're headed to Seattle for a concert, The State Hotel offers the perfect mix of location, comfort, and style to make your music-filled trip memorable.

Very good

Liked: Front desk was very helpful and friendly. Location is the best quality of this hotel. Hotel restaurant is also very good.
Disliked: The ice bucket was dirty and you have to make a trip to front desk to get ice. The room itself was tiny with view of next door building 3 feet away with pigeons roosting in the window frame. No natural light from window. No refrigerator in room. Amenities for the price was not worth it.

Do your research before you...

Liked: I reserved a room with a sea view and my room did have a sea view. The location is one block from Pike Place.
Disliked: The location is right on 2nd ave. And there are many homeless people around. I did not feel safe. Before booking the reservation, I called the hotel and ask about parking because we have a camper van and need oversized parking. They said they knew of a parking lot and we went there and it was too small for our van. We went to about five other places and were told not to park our van there because it is not safe. Finally Anne, the area manager, helped us find safe parking for our van at the Level Hotel garage. The rooms are small with small windows. Also, we were charged $25 amenity fee per day, and I wasn’t aware of that before I booked.
