Quality assured visit Bridlington

Liked: This place has outstanding food lovely friendly staff nice quite village and quiet sleeping can't praise it enough for cost have stayed in 4stat hotel that are alot worse.
Disliked: Only one thing which is easy over looked shower gel dispenser empty but don't let this put you off this place is excellent ideal for couples wanting to visit Bridlington but have luxury at fraction of cost of the seaside B&B only 15mins drive from sea front

Very good

Liked: The food, which was authentic Greek, was homemade and exceptional. It was really, really good. The accommodation was fine, with plenty of space and a large wet room. The staff were great.
Disliked: The accommodation needs an upgrade.

All great but not if...

Liked: We loved the location, the staff we spoke to were very friendly, the room and bathroom were clean, bed comfy. We didnt have breakfast so cant comment. Lovely little seating area outside each room.
Disliked: The wi-fi was poor, mostly didnt work at all even though my husband asked, the lady told us it didnt work in that area.

Nice quiet and good value....

Liked: The Star is an old style village pub with lots of character. There are few accommodation rooms out the back, the other side of the car park. Everyone, staff, customers, and people in the street were very welcoming passing the time of day etc. The Restaurant provided an excellent choice and plenty of food on the plate. Breakfast was great value and tasted great.

We will be back!

Liked: This was our fourth (I think!) visit to the Star Inn and it was every bit as good as each previous occasion. Everything (and I do mean everything!) was good and of a high standard including the breakfast and evening meal we had each night. The Inn is situated in a great area for visiting so many beautiful places easily, be it the seaside, the moors, the pretty and historic towns which have so much character and the many lovely villages. Our 'hosts' Lynne and Spyros we now class as friends alongside many of the locals - they all make us feel so welcome.
Disliked: Nothing!

DREADFUL

Liked: Firstly, hell of a problem paying. Was assured by my bank it wasn't my fault. Landlady kept trying to somehow blame it on me. Tried debit & credit cards to no avail. Eventually she let it slip that some others have had a problem, so it WASN'T my FAULT after all. Had no option but to book through Booking.com, although she said if I'd been able to book through her, they might have relaxed the 2 night minimum rule. She said they couldn't as it was through Booking. We could only stay one night for a family funeral, but I had to pay for two. Wouldn't mind if the place was welcoming and clean. £170 for one night in unacceptable accommodation. We were upset enough as it was. Wish I'd never come across the place. The room - inside of door filthy. Someone had PAINTED the inside of the SINK, and the paint was peeling off around the plug, found a bit in my wash water. The chair was broken, dangerous to sit on, could move the back to and fro around 4" the joints were that loose, can't upload the video though. The runner carpet was curled up at the edges, a TRIP Hazard, and my partner did trip a couple of times on it. One of the bedside lamps didn't work. Cobwebs around the walls. Dust in corners, on plug sockets etc. Bath mat filthy black underneath. Water heater leaked when turned on. Noise in car park at 0330hrs, people, car etc and no sound insulation.OWNER LET HER DOG COME OVER TO ME ON A LEAD, DESPITE HER KNOWING THAT HE GOES FOR PEOPLE 😡 WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU DO THAT? To top it off, Booking didn't charge us for breakfast, yet the landlady insists we pay, despite getting £85 for nothing. Wouldn't mind if the room was good. The only good things were the bedding was clean, and the breakfast good. I had forgotten about the breakfast, but I'm inclined not to pay it now I'm being chased for it. She even had the cheek to ask my sister, who stayed at the same place, about payment for MINE AND MY PARTNERS breakfast
