The Star Hotel Just 1476 feet from West Quay Shopping Center Southampton Central Train Station is less than a mile away. The Star Hotel is in a historical part of Southampton about 2133 feet from Southampton Port with ferries to the Isle of Wight and cruise ship terminals. Perfect central location

Liked: Location and having parking was excellent And the bed was very comfortable the location was top points
Disliked: Room needed abit of updating A lick of paint to clean it up abitToilet didn't flush very well and made alot of noise

Good value for money, would...

Liked: Value for Money, we were expecting what we were given

Liked: Nice room and bathroom. Lovely breakfast and staff.
Disliked: Walls paper thin. 1st night was fine. Second night there the people in the next room came in during early hours of morning, almost slamming door off hinges. Laughing and singing. I had a few hours peace then the party started. More door slamming, shouting, loud music. In despair I went to reception pleading to be moved. They were wonderful and put me somewhere else.

Easy to find, central which...

Liked: Courtois staff. Always available. Cheerful room staff.Room cozy, comfortable.Not rushed to leave on time the following morningLovely conversation with owner, very knowledgeable about history of establishment and area.
Disliked: Unfortunately; the noise is an issue, as we expected traffic and people, however it was quite disturbing the rowdiness of unsavoury males screaming, shouting, fighting, swearing, bottles smashing, constantly into the small hours.
