Disliked: The fridge was tiny, the room we were in had faulty sensors so the night light and cupboard light kept coming on while we were sleeping and gave us a fright

A dated hotel in need...
Disliked: Basics not covered. If you provide a sink, provide a cloth for cleaning, a towel for drying. Or don't provide a sink.No bar fridge. Chairs had marks on. 1 coffee pod in the room on arrival. Would expect free movies.

The Star...not so bright
Liked: The location is fabulous. I love Pyrmont so obviously I was happy with the area. I booked this hotel only due to an event being held there but it wasn't helpful at all. Overall the hotel is good, def not worth the price. I think they think more of themselves than they represent. The room was lovely and the breakfast was delish.
Disliked: You are greeted with the utmost attitude. Very unfriendly receptionists. The hotel isn't guest friendly and it had to access anything. It's simply too big. The room lacks in amenities and the check-in was late. Overall advice stay elsewhere, save money. It's not worth it.

Not worth its price
Liked: The hotel is very fancy but only by its looks. The room was very comfortable and spacious as well as modern. My favourite part was the breakfast. The food was delicious and a wide range of delicacies was offered. In-room service was not bad either and not overly expensive which was a nice welcome to other weird charges. I would like to say a big thank you to the valet parking man as they have been lovely to deal with and efficient at their work. The location is fantastic. Pyrmont is lovely and there is also access to Darling Harbour.
Disliked: Unfortunately, many things weren't up to the standard that such a hotel claims to represent. Let's start with check-in. This was my least favourite experience and quite frustrating in fact. The receptionists were extremely rude and made everything an issue or a big problem that needed to be solved with an excessive sigh and eye roll. Not even half a smile or greeting. The hotel is massive. You need rollerblades or a scooter to get to the breakfast. The hotel isn't guest-friendly. Although the room was overall great, I found it weird that many amenities were missing such as power points or even drinking glasses. Additionally, everything you wanted to watch was like $14 +. In a hotel where you are paying over $600+ per night, simple movies should be free. The menu was hard to find too. The pool was dirty and run down so we decided not to go in. Last but not least issue worth mentioning is their "deal" You get $50 per room to use as a voucher but only in certain restaurants that are not open till late. And you have only like few hours to use it. Additionally, the check-in was supposed to be at 3 pm but rooms weren't ready till 3.45 pm.
