Dirty! No excuses.

Liked: Restaurant was nicely decorated. Pretty curtains and wallpaper in the bedroom. The bed was comfortable.
Disliked: Neither of the bins in the bedroom had been emptied from the previous occupants. When I asked for them to be emptied, only the bathroom bin was emptied so we spent the night with someone else's panty liners! The bathroom floor was dirty, loads of dust and cobwebs behind the door and along the tile sealant. The tile grout over the bath was dirty. The plug in the sink was broken and therefore the sink couldn't be filled. The bedroom (fire) door didn't close automatically. The window frames were dirty.We were on the ground floor and there was lots of noise from ?the bar area or maybe other residents lasting well after 11pm. Maybe ask for a room on another floor.Poor choice of continental breakfast, one small bowl of pastries. I couldn't seen any meats, cheeses or salad but maybe I missed it. This is sounding like a Fawlty Towers sketch! And interestingly, when we checked out, we weren't asked if we had enjoyed our stay!Advertised as 4* on Booking.com, more like 2 or 3 and certainly not worth nearly £160 for one night!

Not great and expected more!

Liked: Close to the airport and free parking. Safe in room. I don’t really have many positives for this hotel.
Disliked: The smell of the room was damp and funky, there was issue with the bathroom as railing not attached properly, bath was super small and shower had no pressure.The bed was super uncomfortable as it was two mattresses together which had a massive gap in between. The pillows were poor quality and very thin. The night sleep was awful.The carpet had stains and I expected a lot more from the hotel I won’t be coming back.

Liked: Looks great from the outside. Communial areas very good.
Disliked: Heating wasn’t working in our room and took 3 hours to be moved. Room was tired needs a deep clean from pet smells.

Pleasant

Liked: The room was lovely, the bed was really comfy and the room was a great size. All of the staff were really lovely and the bar area and breakfast was great.
Disliked: The walls are so thin I could hear every conversation in the hallway but we also had someone in the room next to us who snored and I could hear it through the walls so I was kept up all night. There was also someone moving furniture or dragging something across the floor of a room next to ours which sounded like it was in the room with us.

Exceptional

Liked: We came for a family celebration. Unfortunately I was not well and the staff could not have been more helpful. They were very understanding and extended checkout so I had more time to recover. Chris on reception was particularly helpful. We also had a delicious Sunday lunch.

Appreciated the comfy bed after...

Liked: Comfortable bed, good amenities.
Disliked: Bathrooms need updating.

Liked: The staff were all very friendly and helpful and service with a smile. The rooms were clean and tidy and nicely decorated. We were having a family gathering but if you wanted to be near the airport it would be a good stay also.
Disliked: Don't know.
