Superb

Liked: Surprisingly spacious and very well equipped, close to the town centre. All automated out of hours (and at breakfast time) so did not meet a single member of staff, hence the neutral rating. Nearby public parking chargeable but economic.
Disliked: Look out for the text message that explains how to get access out of hours, nothing tells you to do this, but contact made easily in practice and access easy.

Good value for money and...

Liked: Despite being in the centre of town it was very quiet in our room during the evening and night. The room was well kitted out and good to have the kitchen facilities. The property was clean throughout and we liked the self service breakfast room which had a basic but good variety of food.
Disliked: On entering our room is smelt of stale smoke. The kitchen bin under the sink hadn’t been emptied and was overflowing. The television wasn’t working but after calling the help number they suggested adjusting a switch which meant standing on the chair to reach it at the back. Not having staff on site is a drawback.

Quaint hotel, centrally located

Liked: Our room was exactly as pictured on the web site. It was more spacious than we anticipated and was very clean. The hotel was centrally located and a quick walk from the train station.
Disliked: We experienced some confusion with our communication with the hotel which caused some difficulties with the early check-in process that we had arranged, this was subsequently resolved.
