Lovely pub and hotel all...

Liked: Very friendly staff and superb food especially lunch and dinner. Breakfast was freshly prepared. Location is perfect next to a river hence the name and brings a nice ambience to the property.
Disliked: Value for money was somewhat questionable when you consider the room size. I felt the room sizes didn’t match the expense charged. Which is shame when the experience was delightful.

Nice modest, clean and quaint...

Liked: Very cute property, idyllic location in the English countryside. If you like a quaint country stay, this is the place.
Disliked: There was a weird sewer smell coming from outside the window - it was a hot day when we stayed so the only ventilation was through the single window. Also the mirror in the bathroom was radiating heat! Not sure why, but it made the bathroom a bit unbearable to use.

Very enjoyable

Liked: Good location, comfortable, the staff were great and the food good also
Disliked: Minor things A few cobwebs in the bathroom and it would have been nice if a salad was included with the main course, I had the burger, which was lovely

Loved our stay

Liked: Staff was great - so friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. Outside area was beautiful and we enjoyed the warm weather outside, even though close to A3 we did not hear traffic noise
Disliked: It was very warm and the room we had (with our dog) was very small, only 1 very small window which could not open fully - room was very hot which made sleeping difficult. Could not find aircon - that might have been us. River flows over a Mill which looks and sounded like a waterfall, constant and louder than expected.

Peaceful and relaxing.

Liked: Breakfast was great especially the Garden Breakfast. The whole building was aesthetically pleasing. It had a lot of character and being by the river was superb. The food in the restaurant was lovely and the staff were brilliant.I liked the layout of the room and the bathroom was a good size.
Disliked: I didn't feel l had much privacy because my room was facing the car park and was above the restaurant. I had to pull the curtains to change during the day.The bathroom could benefit with having disposable sanitary bags.

We enjoyed our stay very...

Liked: Nice room. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Food was excellent.
Disliked: We did struggle with the stairs leading to our room, which were quite steep, but it’s to be expected in a period property.
