Liked: Location was greatHad some Olde World Charm about it. Especially the room.
Disliked: The room was incredibly hot and stuffy. The room had a tiny window which didnt let much air in

Great hotel, Great staff, perfect...

Liked: The hotel is ideally located for exploring the New Forest. Staff were very polite, helpful and made us feel very welcome. Good choice of breakfasts and dinners on the menu. The service and food were very good, all the food was freshly cooked to order. Our room was plenty big enough, with a nice comfy bed. Good selection of drinks in the bar. Lovely big garden to relax in. Free parking to the rear of the hotel.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike

Room was lovely, staff great,...

Liked: I particularly liked how welcome my dogs were. Beds already in the room , bowl of water and bags of treats. Brilliant. Also liked the olde worlde charm of the building. The staff were excellent , friendly, nothing too much trouble.
Disliked: Would liked to have a dog waste bin in the car park. Better signage to the car park would also help. Perhaps at the corner of welland rd, just before the traffic lights on the A337.

A pleasant stay in a...

Liked: Comfortable room and a nice breakfast. Staff were friendly and very helpful.
Disliked: 1. Shower over the bath. Why not a no walk in shower? Who uses a bath in a hotel these days?2. The car park was fine but directions were poor. It would be helpful to send directions to people who are bringing cars that enable people like us to avoid parking in the Ferrari sale yard! The one way system requires good quality directions to ensure the pub car park can be found. Either a post code or a street name would be good to enable GPS tracking.

Excellent accommodation, location and staff

Liked: The room was lovely and the breakfast each day was delicious. Onsite parking was fantastic as it's a busy town. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Located right in the heart of the high street, it was perfect for exploring Lyndhurst. A great base to explore the New Forest and then come back in the evening for dinner or a few drinks.
