Great location for Calke Abbey....

Liked: Location. Restaurant food good.
Disliked: Not a cosy atmosphere in bar/restaurant. No fire lit in bar tho weather cold. Tv in room tiny and too high to see properly. Tiny bathroom with no hook or shelf in shower cubicle to put anything. Sunday breakfast only served until 9am

Liked: Staff were very friendly and welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was very tasty. Good for parking
Disliked: I chose the fish pie for dinner and personally didn't like the choice of fish for the filling. It contained a lot of smoke mackerel which over powered anything else. This could be subjective though
