Disliked: Absolutely filthy disgusting room , dirt, dust on kettle, wardrobe, hair on window ledge, peeling walls, peeling ceiling, windows mould, bed lamp rusting, mould windows.Bed uncomfortable roll off all time bases notvsecure (see pictures)Brekfasr pre packed crap reheated !!! not fresh

Liked: Good location, and free parking if there are spaces.
Disliked: This outdated hotel is in desperate need of renovations, very old decor in the room. Carpet was dirty and worn, the toilet was scruffy and there stains all over the walls. We couldn’t have a shower as the shower head did not have any pressure to it. The radiator was on all day, making the room like a sauna, which made us very uncomfortable. Stable floorboards clearly weren’t a thing, we could hear everything in the room upstairs (every single footstep and movement) Additionally, we were awoken at 6 am every morning to the sound of thumping and squeaky floorboard from above, we did not sleep well the whole time here. We had also left a personalised towel with my partner’s name on it in the bathroom, alongside with a toiletries bag that had all of our belongings inside, we realised a few hours after checking out as we were still in St Ives, and went back for it. We spoke to reception, and the staff were useless and unbothered that the cleaner had clearly stolen or chucked our things in the bin. There’s no system set in place that helps guests with lost property and no clear main manager on site. Worst of all they didn’t even have the details of the cleaner that they employ to get in touch with

Disliked: No parking on site. Very basic room. Dated décor. Old bathroom and poor shower head.

Excellent value for money, lovely...

Liked: Excellent location, across the road and down and little footpath to the beach. Short few minute walk to all shops and restaurants. Lovely 30 minute walk round to carbis bay, and only 5 minute walk round to st Ives harbour. Our room was in the top floor, was very clean and all looked freshly painted, with clean fresh towels provided. We was on the rear of the building but still had a partial sea view from our window what was lovely.

Liked: Location was excellent, very close to centre but outside of the madness of St Ives over a Bank Holiday weekend. It was warm inside the hotel.
Disliked: Breakfast was tired and made out of the cheapest ingredients possible. Not a single fresh fruit. Shame.
