The St. Clair Hotel - Magnificent Mile

The hotel was under construction during our stay but the inconvenience was minimal. I would like to return when it is done to see what they did with it. The location is perfect. A short walk to many restaurants and Michigan Avenue is right there! It was very easy to get a cab to were we needed to and the door men were very helpful in flagging them down for us. I plan to stay there again in the future.

Disliked: Rooms are very small and no daily maintenance/ cleaning. Lifts have a lot of issues of time and working. Parking is very expensive @75$ Per Day.

Affordable Boutique Hotel

Liked: This is a boutique hotel. The room was very very small. It was okay for one person two would have been stretching it. The bed is comfortable, it's a great location.
Disliked: Limited storage, the floor was not clean and I found a bracelet band from whoever stayed before me on the floor by the bed. Needed a hook for my towel.

Great service, pricing, area, and...

Liked: The staff were very friendly and helpful, great conversationalists as well. The area is good, lots of food places in walking distance, as well as the hotel restaurant (that we didn't end up using). There's also a parking garage right across the street, though it's not ideal when staying longer than a night because the prices are pretty high. The room we received was very clean, and had a good view of the city. The bathroom was on the small side, but we were a group of three staying for a night, so it worked just fine.
Disliked: The parking garage was expensive but that's not the hotels fault. I had a lovely experience!
