The St. Clair Hotel - Magnificent Mile

The hotel was under construction during our stay but the inconvenience was minimal. I would like to return when it is done to see what they did with it. The location is perfect. A short walk to many restaurants and Michigan Avenue is right there! It was very easy to get a cab to were we needed to and the door men were very helpful in flagging them down for us. I plan to stay there again in the future.

Noisy with all the ambulances

Disliked: When checking in the front desk sent us to rooms that were already booked and the people had their belongings in there already

Don't judge a book by...

Liked: The price point the location and the bedding and bed were all very lovely.
Disliked: Front desk situation is a little sketchy at night and it doesn't offer any views but the price was right a very nice price point for the location

Disliked: False advertisement. The rooms do not match what was advertised. Gross walls in the bathroom and pet fur everywhere.

Not recommended

Liked: There wasn’t much we liked about the hotel except its location. Only good for coming late, sleeping in, and heading out next morning.
Disliked: It’s ridiculously small. No room for luggage. Not even a chair in the room, and forget about stretching your legs. Extremely noisy (as expected) but the windows are very thin and don’t block any noise. The staff were not the friendliest
