Beautiful old grand hotel. Exquisite as is and they are renovating. Within walking distance of Majestic Theatre; Riverwalk, shopping, etc. I would definitely stay again!

Liked: Staff were extremely cordial and interested in our stay.
Disliked: Wolfgang Puck's coffee!

only stayed for 1 night...

Liked: Rooms were very large and comfortable with nice amenities in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable and the pillows good. Staff was attentive but check in and parking was a bit unusual and higher cost than other hotels in area.
Disliked: Expensive parking and needed to use Valet to offsite lot.

Won't Return

Liked: Staff was very helpful, friendly, accommodating.
Disliked: The heater in our room didn't work, it was 62 degrees, we slept in our clothes to stay warm. The light in our bathroom wouldn't turn off with a glass door leading from the bedroom it was difficult to sleep. the lamps and overhead lights flickered. The hotel is across the street from a park that seems to be a homeless encampment, street noise and stench make this beautiful old hotel not at all desirable. SA itself, is no place I will return to visit.
