Value-driven roadside option near great...

Liked: Really cute remodeled motel with a kind, helpful staff and nice client base of fellow travels + folks in town for the theatre fest (we were too.) The location is picturesque if a bit close to the highway but it's a roadside motel so that's in the name. At <$200/night on a busy weekend it was a fairly budget option so no complaints there. Dog-friendly which is a huge plus but note that you'll have a door opening to the yard which opens to the highway so be careful with Fido if he/she/they are a runner. The pool was a great plus and was clean/well maintained at a good temperature, with nice lounge chairs around. Plenty of parking and you'll definitely need a car for the scenic drive to Williamstown, or to the nearby Mount Greylock (we really enjoyed the easy trails by the visitor center ~8 min from the motel, and even the loopy road up for dog walking). The room itself was clean and spacious with a TV that connects easily to your Netflix or Amazon account with a QR code, so you can watch whatever you were watching at home. All in all, an elevated motel-style option at a fair price with great staff. Recommended for a trip where you're mostly out exploring and need a clean, comfortable, affordable place to come back to.

Liked: The location was great and it was nice to have breakfast options. We liked pretty much everything!
Disliked: The pool was really cold. Still an awesome option and I'm glad one of my kids and I went in. It took us awhile to decide to though. My other kid didn't want to go in due to it being so cold. It's a beautiful pool!
