A lovely place to stay...

Liked: Manager, Evva, was wonderful. Keep her!!! Our room, the Honeymoon Suite, was two original rooms combined. It had a comfortable seating area and a king sized bed that was very comfortable. It also had a 1920's Edison victrola with records! So fun to use. Evva stocked the fire-pit for us and we made a bonfire in the evening, which was terrific.
Disliked: There is no breakfast or any meals or snacks offered, which would be a nice option since the motel is remote, however there is a bar. The coffee maker in the room was impossible to use and did not work properly...the coffee came out very watery. The bathrooms are original. While it goes with the kitschy vibe of the entire place, they are just old and really need to be redone. The lighting in both bathrooms constantly flickered and was migraine-inducing. The detergent used to wash the sheets smells too strong, it was distracting. I think it is an Arm and Hammer brand that smells unhealthy. I would opt for unscented. The outdoor porch area offered a small place for sitting, which was lovely, but doesn't seem like it is built to code because there are no guards or railings? Also, the outdoor heating unit isn't enclosed and probably should be..just as an FYI. Lastly, the grounds need maintenance. The driveway is very washed out and there is no direct path to get to the rooms other than dragging/rolling luggage over the dirt driveway and overgrown grass. That part was a little strange. It is the end of the season right now, so maybe that is why? But, people should have a clean way to get to their rooms after they park their cars.

Will definitely stay here again...

Nice, retro place to stay....

Liked: Retro, mid-century modern look and vibe. Comfortable king bed.
Disliked: Parking was not right at entry to room. Had to cross lawn area with luggage to get to room. It would be good to provide a few walkways (concrete? brick?) from the parking lot to the rooms. Room needs more access/space for hanging clothes.

Not Legit. Okay if you...

Liked: Location, the idea of the retro motel. Beds and bedding were clean. Bathroom clean. Attendant once located was friendly.
Disliked: Property is neglected. Yard is neglected. The renovation that was done is hack. The original locks are not functioning. the rear door does not fit the frame and has to be forced shut. The "patio deck" is a tiny platform in the back where the view is a steep embankment 10' away of barely cleared brush and overgrowth. Lock on the rear door is cheap single knob. The privacy curtain on the rear door is not adequate. There were cobwebs in the ceiling corners and doorway to the bathroom, there were dead spiders in the cobwebs. The check in office was locked, had to search for an attendant at the property to check us in. The attendant gave us a key to a room that was already occupied, had to return to the office to get the correct room and key. Same deal on check out, there was no one there to drop off the key. Had to call and hide the key for them for when they came in. I don't know what I paid extra for in Deluxe double bed, the room was tiny, no kitchenette.

The property is still being...

Liked: The ambiance was fantastic. The staff was very friendly. The pool area is great. The location is wonderful, close to Williamstown/North Adams but not directly in it. The new bar space is a great space to have a drink if you aren't up to sitting outside around one of the cozy fire pits.
Disliked: The property is still being developed but that is not a problem. As it stands what is there portends the wonderful things to come. We will definitely be back and recommend to others.
