Classic and comfortable, The Speyside Hotel offers a warm Highland welcome in the heart of Grantown on Spey. Set in a quiet spot just a 9-minute walk from the Grantown Museum, this charming hotel blends traditional Scottish hospitality with modern comforts. Surrounded by natural beauty and close to local venues, it’s a relaxed base for concert nights and countryside exploration alike.
If you're catching a show in or around Grantown on Spey, you’ll love the hotel’s peaceful location that’s still within easy reach of local venues. After a high-energy night, retreat to the calm of the hotel’s garden or shared lounge. The free private parking makes it easy for those driving to gigs, and the paid airport shuttle is a handy option for travelers flying into Inverness. With a 4pm check-in and 11am check-out, there’s time to settle in before the concert and relax the next morning.
The on-site restaurant serves up delicious Scottish cuisine, with vegetarian, dairy-free, and vegan options available on request. While there’s no mention of 24/7 room service, the cozy bar and terrace are perfect for winding down post-show. Breakfast is available, making it easy to refuel after a late night.
While there’s no on-site live music, the hotel bar offers a relaxed spot for a drink with fellow fans. Grantown on Spey has a handful of pubs and lounges within walking distance, and nearby towns offer additional nightlife options if you're up for a post-concert adventure.
Guests rave about the friendly staff, clean rooms, and fantastic food. The peaceful setting and traditional charm consistently earn high marks, especially from those looking to unwind after a busy day. Many reviewers note the hotel’s excellent location for exploring the Highlands and attending events nearby.
This isn’t a flashy city hotel—so don’t expect late-night room service or a buzzing nightlife scene on-site. But if you’re after comfort, calm, and character, it delivers beautifully.
The Speyside Hotel is a charming Highland retreat that offers concert-goers a peaceful, well-located, and friendly place to recharge after the show.

Beautiful stay aside the Spey
Liked: The food (both dinner and breakfast) was excellent; beautiful quality and presentation. For dinner my husband had the venison pie and I had the Scottish salmon; both were absolutely divine.Beds are very comfortable and the room a good size. Breakfast was set out waiting for us in the morning and, again, was of excellent quality.A beautiful place and we would definitely stay again should we come back this way.
