The Sparrow Hotel

Good but with limitations for...

Liked: Good location. Spacious bar at ground level. Big room. Large comfortable bed. Good wardrobe space. Reasonable breakfast but with limited cooked options.
Disliked: Lifts have a max capacity of three - not great if you are on the top floor. Kettle in the room simply did not pour without flooding the place. Tea cups with no handles making them too hot to hold. Blackout blinds being anything but.

Liked: Great breakfast and very comfortable bed.
Disliked: "Antique" rooms were not really fit for purpose. Moved bed away for extremely low roof but still hit our heads on the sloping ceiling (we are only 5' 6"" tall). On speaking to hotel they pointed out the photo on their Web site but until you are in the room one does not appreciate the lack of ceiling height.

Liked: I like the location and the coziness of the hotel. The restaurant, bar, and breakfast are just fantastic.
Disliked: The room was small, nice and quiet, but we could hear street music.
