Great value and super helpful...

Liked: Helpful staff. Spacious rooms, spa and gym. Managed to grab a couple massages at short notice. Nice location overlooking Mount Edgcumbe
Disliked: Beds weren’t super comfortable and twin beds were quite narrow

Pleasant/fine

Liked: The hotel was pleasant and comfortable but not what I expected for a 4* hotel. The dinner we had was lovely and great value for money
Disliked: Whilst we appreciate the hotel is out in the country and surrounded by a lot of greenery, there were a lot of flies all around, even in the bedroom. We would have expected more to have been done to keep them away. The internet in the bedroom was not good. The staff were fine but in the bar maybe a bit too much time spent with customers they know.

Liked: Very comfortable, clean and tidy. Close to town (walkable) Spa and Gym

Liked: Lovely room and generous upgrade.
Disliked: Check in was slow and not reassuring. Breakfast in the morning had items missing and we had to call down for extra things to be brought.

Liked: Comfortable quiet room. Good breakfast choice. Plenty of parking.We only stayed the one night after a wedding party but were impressed with the hotel and welcoming staff

Liked: Clean and food was nice
Disliked: Decor tired, my £190 per night superior double room looked nothing like the swanky photos. Very noisy. Room 103 is very loud from the bar until after 11pm so only stay there if you are happy with a late night. Noise only stopped after my third phone call to reception at 1115pm when the member of staff finally went to the bar to make sure it was actually shut at 11 as promised. I think £190 a night is too much given the lack of sound proofing. I expect a level above student halls for that price.
