I’ve stayed in older hotels which were great. It comes down to care and maintenance.

Liked: Nothing.
Disliked: Old and dated.

Surprisingly wonderful and a good...

Liked: We travel a lot for work, so we like to find comfortable, but affordable, hotels along our routes to stay at overnight. I took a chance here and immediately added it to my list of places to keep going to. Walking distance of a pizza hut, dollar store, and grocery store while being out of the way and not in the middle of "hotel cities" was so nice. I happened to be there on a weekend to try the food, but next time!
Disliked: The beds could have been a tad more comfortable, but they weren't the worst compared to other affordable places. None of the pillows matched (coworker's complaint - my bonus) and the sheets sort of scratchy. That's just being nitpicky though.

Disliked: Bathroom floor was soft and felt like it needed new underlayment.

Disliked: There is a smoking patio outside the rooms and people leave their doors open while smoking outside causing the smoke to get inside the rooms. All of the rooms smelled very musty. Very old motel that is far too expensive for what you get.
