The Smoke House Lodge and Cabins

I’ve stayed in older hotels which were great. It comes down to care and maintenance.

Liked: Nothing.
Disliked: Old and dated.

Not the cleanest place you’ll...

Liked: Location was pretty good for our plans.The staff is always kind.
Disliked: This place no matter if it is a cabin or one of the rooms at the hotel is almost always dirty. However, this trip was unreal. Bugs and dust everywhere. The coffee pot had several bugs, the window sill was full of dead bugs and looked like it had never been dusted.This was a cabin in the mountains so we didn’t expect a resort feel but it should be clean!

Great price for a beautiful...

Liked: Decor of the building is beautiful. I love the rustic look. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, even gave us recommendations for dinner when we checked in. They have cabins, we didn't stay in those this time but we will be back and we'll be staying in those. The lodge room was spacious and clean. They have a pool, it wasn't open yet for the season but looked nice. They also have a restaurant that's open on the weekends.

Disliked: Room not very clean - had to walk up rickety flights of stairs and all the way around back from where we parked although the hotel was almost empty. People smoking in the narrow passageways. Wood plank hallways had uneven boards

Decent place, great price!

Liked: It's beautiful on the outside. Pretty nice in the rooms. Standard room with bed tv and little coffee maker. The chair had huge stain but we put a towel over it to sit. Decent water pressure in the shower. The bed was comfy. Medium hardness for the mattress and 4 pillows on a queen. No bugs and it was clean. We stayed for a night so didn't see much else.
Disliked: The only thing that went wrong was binder was missing from room so had to call for the wifi password. Not a big deal.
