Convenient location
Disliked: Not a fan of the new decor. To impersonal and modern cold vibe. No waterfront views from common areas. The main lobby is cold and sterile and not very warm and welcoming.

Great location, overpriced parking, needs...
Liked: Large room, onsite restaurant, excellent downtown location with good walkability for local sites. It has onsite parking, but it is very expensive. Bedroom and living area are separated by doors so someone can sleep while another is working. There's a nice view if your room faces the harbor (otherwise you look at the parking lot and construction on the other side). There are sufficient outlets for plugs and USBs. There is good storage for clothes and toiletries and a fridge in the room. Water pressure in the shower is acceptable. The restaurant (Trio) offers an outstanding dinner time menu, and I particularly recommend the seafood chowder and Trio salad. Superb!
Disliked: Parking was $15/day, which was exorbitant. There is not a convenient drop off area in front of the lobby as all available parking is restricted to handicapped parking, fire zone, or blocked off with pylons. The HVAC system did not work in the room, so our room stayed muggy and hot, the same as outside. Our toilet leaked in spite of 2 visits from maintenance, so our bathroom floor had standing water, which was a bit of a safety hazard. The walk-in shower was dangerously slippery. The bathroom sink is separated from the toilet/shower area by a door, and there is no towel rack for a hand towel by the sink. There is no door between the sink area and the bedroom, so you can't turn on the (VERY bright) light by the sink without disturbing your partner in bed. Closet is very tiny. The TV channel selections were very limited. There is no after hours access to the ground floor entrance near the parking lot; the door is locked and there is no keypad or room key swipe lock available for hotel guest entry. There were hotel employees smoking outside of the ground floor entrance, so you had to walk through the smoke to get to the door. The guest laundry has 2 washers and 2 dryers, and one of the washers was out of order. There was no option to pay by credit card, so you have to get cash to operate the machines ($2 per machine). The breakfast is no longer included in the room rate, and is now very pricey and not very good. I tried oatmeal one day and it was so sweetened that it was inedible, but the server said that the oatmeal comes with the sugar already in it so they can't make it less sweet. I checked on cold cereals as an option, but was told they only had heavily sugared presweetened cold cereals. My husband ordered salmon Benedict, and the salmon was starting to spoil so he couldn't eat it. We ended up at a local restaurant for the rest of our breakfasts.
