For the price, nah

Liked: Right off the main road. Hotel is old, but they worked to make the rooms look fairly decent.
Disliked: Not a great value. I had a much nicer hotel my second night for 50% less with bigger beds. I wonder if the prices got jacked up because of the eclipse. Heaters were turned off because they worried about them being a fire hazard, although they offered an electric space heater. I only booked it because almost every other hotel in the area was already full, and while still expensive for what it was, it was the cheapest of anything left.

Liked: Has the potential to be a super cute place- the bed was comfortable, shower had great water pressure, was very clean and had new furniture.
Disliked: The in room refrigerator was so loud that each time it cut on- it woke us up and we ARE NOT light sleepers. The “lounge chair” was probably nice 30 years ago- it had no padding on arms left and was very hard. No hairdryers- the parking was so tight that we had to go out the Entrance- was probably fine before we all drove big trucks and sport utilities. The furnaces had not been checked or pilot lights lit- so the owner supplied us a space heater since it was getting down into the 30’s.

Liked: Shelly was so accommodating as we had a late arrival. She called while I was on the road to confirm and texted me our room number and entry code. So convenient and more than expected.
Disliked: The bathroom was “meh”. It was clean but the fixtures are ancient.
