Superb
Liked: The hotel had a really relaxed, familiar and friendly atmosphere. It felt peaceful and calm and comforting. Views out of my window were lovely historic buildings in the village/town, the staff were friendly and there was a lovely shady beer garden. Good info provided in the room about local amenities and places to visit and a good menu. Would recommend for a gentle stay and explore of the area. Would go back again. It was the hottest day of the year when there but the room stayed relatively cool with stone walls, a good blind and sash window.
Disliked: No hair dryer in the room is the only thing but it was far too hot to want one when I was there anyway!

Good
Liked: Staff friendly. Helpful with my dietary needs, so we ate there all three nights.
Disliked: Asked for a twin room, as I was staying there with my sister. There was one double bed, and one 'child's bed'.The child's bed really wasn't comfortable, it creaked and a couple of the slats came out during the night. The quilt was barely adequate. The double bed was fine, but the quilt was very thick and heavy. There was no opening window in the room, so we had to sleep with the bathroom window wide open. I really don't think it was value for money, and we won't stay there again. The hotel and garden could be so much better, with a little TLC.
