Liked: The whole place is peaceful and beautiful. The room was very comfortable, with en-suite shower room. I asked at reception for an extra pillow and it was quickly provided. Breakfast was good - buffet style with everything one could want. The gardens are lovely, especially as I was very fortunate with the weather during my stay. The carillons ringing out made a delightful sound.The Shrine Church is very special, with a great deal to see and learn, as well as services held frequently. Walsingham Abbey is only a few minutes walk away, and offers a wonderful step back into history with the museum there. The Abbey ruins are rather sad, but also majestic. The gardens are wonderful. When I visited the bluebells were just coming out. Lunch at the Read And Digest Tearoom, situated between the Shrine and the Abbey, was delicious.Wells-next-the-sea is an easy bus ride away and is well worth a visit. Alpaca trekking is available (see their website) and ambling along with an alpaca is a very pleasant hour or so. A very restoring few days.
Disliked: I can't think of anything I didn't like.

Disliked: I did read the notes so it wasn’t a surprise to me - be aware parking charges apply if you intend to bring your own vehicle.

Very basic and expensive for...

Liked: The breakfast was so so served on cold plates in a cold cafe which made the food go cold very quickly. It was just like a staff canteen.
Disliked: No tv which these days all accommodations have. Very rude person on the desk at checkout. 2 small beds which were not very comfortable very expensive was like a dormitory.

Not somewhere we would stay...

Liked: It was situated in a good area for our trip. Was basically clean but frugal.
Disliked: We had not realised that it’s not a hotel. The rooms are extremely small and plain, no toiletries, tiny towels, no home comforts at all! It was very difficult to find the entrance in the dark and the car park cost us £7 for overnight.
