Fantastic

Liked: Fantastic location for the wedding I was attending, the breakfast is world class. Caroline in the bar area was superb.
Disliked: The receptionist on 16/7 & 17/7 could have been more helpful, she was not approachable and never once smiled.

Nice hotel, bit expensive.

Liked: Nice hotel, bar and restaurant were good.
Disliked: Room was warm, not airflow. Price for room was high.

Return to the Shirley Arms

Liked: We have stayed here many times and as usual the staff are beyond pleasant and helpful!Breakfast is extremely good at the Shirley!Location is excellent!
Disliked: We stayed in a smaller room than usual. The room was lovely but the bed and pillows were just a little less comfortable than usual.

Bit too pricey for what...

Liked: Location is quite good.
Disliked: No gym. Room was very hot. Bathroom floor lots of long hairs. Bedroom carpet iron burns. Breakfast was terrible. Omelette was very greasy. Staff (Caroline) seemed rather sharp & impatient even though not very busy. When I asked for the omelette with no bacon ‘You need to say what you want so I can tell the chef’ had to list the ingredients one by one even though they were listed on the menu and omit bacon. Seemed so unnecessary.
