In view of the accident...

Liked: Location was good, could walk to the high street
Disliked: No lift. Four flights of stairs to get to the room. The allocated room had different levels, a step down into the room from the hallway, a step up into the toilet. My wife stumbled and fell down the step into the room, she was bruised and hurt.The steps are a health and safety hazard. No warning signs about the steps.

Liked: The location was good.Didn't do breakfast - too expensive compared to what you could get outside of the pub.
Disliked: Pub sells itself as boutique. This was a standard double bed in a very small room with a bathroom transported from Premier Inn. It was not boutique. Far from boutique. I'm sure the Trade's Description Board would be interested in this one. Also, no immediate parking. Bit of a shlep from the long stay car park. Bed - over cushioned. Room had minimal space around the bed to move!

A pleasant historic inn with...

Liked: If you like old fashioned inns that are still clean and pleasant, this is for you. The restaurant food was excellent- above normal bistro standards. I spent a good two hours over my solo dinner. I had no hesitation choosing it as my breakfast venue.
Disliked: As you’d expect with a more ancient property, there can be knooks and crannies and different step levels, but they’ve done a good job.
