Food didn’t live up to...

Liked: Food was average. Ribs lukewarm and sparse on the sauce. Pie a little tasteless. Breakfast was average. Staff are outstanding and couldn’t be more helpful but the quality of food needs to improve to warrant a return. Ale was excellent!
Disliked: Heating in room didn’t work. Food mediocre.

Very good

Liked: Good breakfast choice. Great location, great friendly staff.
Disliked: Stayed in the Royal Room which had a step which you had to be careful of. Stairs to first floor requires steady footing.

Stay at The Ship and...

Liked: A one night stay. Met friends for drinks and enjoyed the local ROMNEY craft ale. Enjoyed a freshly prepared dinner. The room was small but perfect with an ensuite bath in bathroom. The owners and other staff were very polite and professional. The breakfast was top notch. Would stay again and would recommend.

Clean, comfortable, quirky hotel with...

Liked: Fabulous family room. We’ve stayed here before and will again as it’s perfect for visiting our local family. The family room is quirky and chic, lovely comfortable beds, excellent layout with kids in 1 room and adults in the other with interconnecting area. Room looks out to the sea so no road noise at night. Lovely staff, great food in the pub and breakfast cooked fresh in the morning (hotel too small for a buffet brekkie but that’s fine as good choice of cooked breakfast). Few minutes walk to the sea and 10 min promenade walk in to Dymchurch.
