Great hotel, lacklustre restaurant
Liked: Hotel great. Restaurant lacklustre. Probably good if you like steak or fish and chips, otherwise awful. Perhaps keep up with the times? Trying hard, but, I’m afraid, failing on common fronts

Fab!
Liked: Breakfast and food overall was amazing! Beer garden by the river lovely. Takeaway pizza in room (from the hotel restaurant) was fabulous!!!
Disliked: My room was really hot - top floor and one of the hottest days of the year!! Fan provided for the second night- when requested! Excellent thank you!

Liked: The room we stayed in at this hotel exceeded my expectations it appeared spacious and recently refurbished and even had a coffee pod machine so was more luxurious than our usual choices and was well worth paying a bit more for. The restaurant had good quality and value for money meals with very friendly service. The location is excellent at the heart of a village which has a lot of redeeming features. I would love to return here one day.

Good stay elongating our holiday...
Liked: Great position leaving ample time to catch ferry. Fabulous weather enabled wine by the river in the beer garden
Disliked: Room suffered from street noise during the night.

It was our first trip...
Liked: The location was very good , we did not have the breakfast but had an evening meal both days which was excellent.The staff in the restaurant could not be more helpful.
Disliked: I know most hotels accommodate dogs these days and I have nothing against dogs but not in the restaurant. The smell of one dog in the stairway was awful, owners fault .
