Great location and staff. Hotel...

Liked: We enjoyed the location, comfortable bed. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The property looks a bit tired for the exorbitant price to stay.
Disliked: Hotel seems old, cracking paint in corridors. At least one elevator always out for maintenance. Shower inside bath a bit cramped. Hotel could do with refurbishing. Very expensive for an old tired hotel however excellent location and staff.

Great stay in the heart...

Liked: Great location right at the corner of Central Park and Fith Avenue! The hotel team is exceptionally friendly and helpful. We felt like being at home and had a great time at The Sherry Netherland. Perfectly!
Disliked: Nothing.

Old style NY hotel but...

Liked: Everything - the room was excellent, the staff brilliant, location could not be better for what we wanted. Having such an excellent venue for breakfast/drinks/food next door was also great. All this and such a comfortable bed, and lots of amenities in the room. Please note its Art Deco or thereabouts, so some may call it old style - we arrived on the Queen Mary 2 so it fitted in with the style perfectly.
Disliked: It is pricy but then you have to look at location and history - if its good enough for David Bowie ... !! Other than that and a problem with the safe it was a great stay.

Liked: Everything is excellent

As good as it gets

Liked: Tasteful modernisation of an older property. Staff could not have been more helpful. Perfectly located. Not cheap, but a real treat. Stayed in some great hotels and this was as good as the best.
Disliked: Nothing
