When can I go back?
Liked: Excellent historical property rebounding from Covid. Recently renovated and clean throughout. Each room unique.
Disliked: Upgrade the pillows!

Genuinely friendly staff in a...
Liked: Quaint historic building, proud of it’s heritage. Staff was genuinely friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Small rooms. Bathroom is very small. Turning radius to enter is very tight. Water in shower takes a while to heat up.

Liked: very charming with an old house coziness about it.
Disliked: the website indicated a restaurant was attached but when I calle to check the hours they said it was closed. it worked out because we ended up at a little pub down the street that was just lovely

If you want an experience...
Liked: The Sherman is a quaint 150 year old hotel (remodeled) in downtown Batesville, Indiana. The staff was very friendly . We enjoyed our 2 day stay as we sampled several privately owned and recommended local restaurants. The only disappointment I would say was that the hotel’s ,well known and classic, restaurant was closed - reportedly due to a lack of a proper staff.
Disliked: There is no elevator to our second floor room, but we knew that when we made the booking

No elevator, no restaurant on...
Liked: Staff was friendly and kept the room really clean.
Disliked: No elevator. I wouldn’t have booked the room if I knew there was no elevator. Also, the breakfast was a disappointment. The web site said it was available, but breakfast in a bag was disappointing.

Nice staff, poor facility
Liked: Old facility but plenty of room. Seemed semi abandoned in down town area. Staff very nice. Breakfast a small container of orange juice and granola bar to go.
Disliked: Second floor room with no elevators. Very small bathroom. No activity around property

Liked: Staff and location were amazing. Right in the center of Batesville. Lots of industry around, good small town coffee and food. Location location location.

It was adequate for one night I wish I could say better things because the staff was wonderful.
Liked: The location is right in the heart of town. The people are friendly and helpful, and lovely to speak with. They gave us a history of the building and the area.
Disliked: The room was a little small. The shower was so small that I don't think a big person would fit in it. The air conditioner was so noisy that it kept us awake until we finally had to get up and shut it off. Fortunately, it was cool enough outside to sleep with the window open. No screen on the window, however.
