Disappointed

Liked: The breakfast staff and daytime reception team were friendly and helpful, which I appreciated. However, my experience with the night staff was extremely disappointing. I raised a noise complaint at 1:30am due to guests running through the halls, slamming doors, and shouting for hours — but it was not handled properly. I also submitted a formal complaint five days ago and have yet to receive any response. Overall, I’m genuinely very disappointed with the lack of support and follow-up.

Great location, showing some signs...

Liked: Room was huge and was a free upgrade from the one we booked. The beds were very comfortable. Shower excellent. No noise from adjoining rooms, staff very helpful.
Disliked: Room decor was a bit shabby, air con initially wasn't working which wasn't great when we first arrived all hot and bothered from the walk from the train station in the heat (but was repaired upon request.) Bathroom fine but only one toilet roll provided at a time, with three children this ran out very quickly. Wasn't aware toilet roll rationing was in effect in Liverpool! Spa bath a bit disappointing as the power level knob didn't seem to do anything (and the hot/cold tap fell off upon touching it!). Television was difficult to use and very little choice of channels for the kids (disappointing on a night when us parents wanted a little bit of peace!)

Ideal hotel. Affordable & comfortable.

Liked: The reception is lovely coming in! Looks well maintained and stylish, the room itself was lovely but could see a fair bit of wear and tear which is a shame because if it is maintained well, I think it could be the most ideal hotel to stay in! We came as a family of 5, the room was really spacious and to my 8 year old lad he said “we are staying in luxury” and I quote! I think for a bigger family this is ideal as many hotels in the area and chain hotels sadly cannot accommodate for this size group. It also provides a kitchen area to the room we had which I wasn’t expecting upon booking, a really nice touch which provided more area! I can imagine for a hen or stag then this hotel venue would be a really REALLY great choice! Finally the bathroom, the bath was MASSIVE! And was a really lovely touch, with the added element of the rainfall shower, this wasn’t really powerful which I was expecting but it was a lovely element and overal the stay was ideal for what we needed and wanted.
Disliked: Just felt like it could do with a bit of tlc in the room, nothing major. It was a pretty and spacious room!

Disliked: Booked a room specifically to use hot tub which near gave me 3rd degree burns as no cold water ran through staff tried to help but couldn’t fix it a lot of money wasted and unable to use the facilities
