Hotel was closed down so...

Disliked: The hotel was closed when we arrived. Tried the telephone number and came back as unrecognised. Checked with a pub across the road and was told it hadn’t been a hotel for the last 6 months! No communication beforehand to say it was no longer open but my money was still taken

Amazed we had money taken...

Liked: Nothing
Disliked: It was seized by Bailiffs in January 2024.We were due to stay 24th August 2024.Money was taken from my account for the booking on 21st August 2024.We did not know any of this until we were outside the property waiting to get in ?Disgusted with Booking.com for taking my money for a property that ceased trading 8 months before our stay !Customer service advised the nearest property they could find was 38km away yet on the app we found one 4km away!As a Genius member I feel totally let down and am still awaiting a refund!

Didn’t stay … maybe I...

Liked: It doesn’t exist
Disliked: The fact it was closed Jan 24 but booking.con still have it listed / can book? The fact money was taken from my account in Aug 24 for a hotel that doesn’t exist. The fact I could not get hold of anyone to find out what was going on. The fact I had to spend additional £250 on the day to secure alternative accommodations (very limited availabilty due to events in the area)

NO STAY as hotel out...

Disliked: We arrived to find the hotel was permanently closed, and out of business, and had been for several months without us being advised. The payment for the reservation was taken a few days ago and yet it transpires that they were closed.. definite FRAUD going on which Booking.com is supporting !!!!
